Her face, it looks quite tired, her cheeks are quite sunken and it looks like she has bags under her eyes...of course, it could just be one of those photos, catching her in a bad light, but that was my original reaction when seeing it.
Alright... I'm just wondering what you would call a man who looks tired, etc. It seems like if a woman doesn't look pretty or young, she is said to look haggard... and it's such a double standard.

I never knew it was used as a female-related adjective. I've always used that word to describe men, women, shoes, whatever might look a bit "worse for wear". That's really interesting though, I'm going to try to take notice of that when I hear/read that word from now on!

I mean that's fine if it's used on everyone/everything. I've always associated it with women but I never use that word in general. Maybe it's just my limited vocab But I'm sure you've heard people say "she looks like a hag"... but are hag and haggard related? The word to me just sounds ugly.
