I don't think she was feeling so at the time she passed. According to all the close friends and family, she was happy exactly the way things were! And she also seemed happy at the iTunes Festival, 2 days before...

I really don't think we can affirm much about her personal in 2011 though. :/

I don't think many of us believe that given how her eyes/facial expressions... and when you're an alcoholic, do you just drink to drink or are you trying to deal with something? I think Amy put up a good front a lot of times..

Humm...I don't remember where I read (or seen in a video) that she had drank before going on stage. I think her lack of enthusiasm is just so obvious. She dances without actually putting energy in it and she look the roof almost the entire time. She seems to be high on anti-depressants or something that kind. Does it look like a lady who enjoy herself ? Not at all. She was probably glad to help Dionne but I feel she doesn't feel in the right place.



And what family and friends say, I personally don't care. It was often bullshit eniway :s This is an article in which Mitch claims that his daughter is fine after a big scandal. I understand he defends his daughter against the media and doesn't indicate the severity of the problems of Amy. This is not a criticism. But what I say is that no matter what others say to the media, the truth was perhaps less beautiful.

Hours after daughter Amy punched a wall and burst into tears during her latest drug-fueled rampage, Mitch spoke to reporters and said: Amy is doing fine.

^maybe he just said stuff like that to try and keep things private... but then again he didn't help keep her privacy a lot of times...

I just have to say her face is absolutely gorgeous in that itunes pic.

Wasn't the whole dullness in her eyes down to taking prescribed drugs to battle her alcoholism? I think her eyes just looked less big and emotive, I don't know a lot about it but couldn't it have been down to the.. librium.. if that's what it was called..

Yeah, I think some of it might be down to the meds she was on (librium), but there's still that underlying problem: her alcoholism which fuels depression which fuels alcoholism, etc. Happy people don't drink to that extent. Show me an alcoholic who isn't depressed: it's physiological, they can't help it, all that abuse really wears down the body.
If there hadn't been Belgrade, and then her death (on top of rehab and all kinds of other stuff), I would say I could be wrong...but those are two pretty strong arguments for her not being too happy towards the end, in my opinion.

I think pics taken of her around that Nelson Mandela show are some of my favorites. She had a certain charm & beauty about her that she didn't have at any other time... maybe I'm crazy.
