Well even if they're a bit behind it's still bloody cool that she got two awards more. She should be nominated every year in every category in every effing single awards show right to the next century. Can you tell I've been playing Back to Black a lot today? Hadn't played it for a while. Whenever I feel slightly vulnerable for whatever reason it just makes me want to hear the whole record.

Yes, they didn't show the categories she won on tv, because she wasn't on the show.
(They generally didn't show the categories where the winners weren't on the show).

Are they crazy or something? I mean...i don't get why they didn't show the categories. YES...Amy wasn't there but they COULD at least show the categories like people do it in other awards...xD Anyway.

lol thats exactly what i was doing....similing for both reasons.....im so happy she one......but i cant get over the fact that theyve given album of the year to an album not released in the year?...makes you wonder just how clever the people who organise these things are?!?! lol

Well I think in germany there was the special situation that the album got popular (chart wise) in 2008. In january it went to the top of the german charts and the song "Rehab" went up to the highest chart position in march 2008. Each year's winner of the Echo award is determined by the previous year's sales (from february 2008 till january 2009).
It sounds weird cause the album was released earlier but since the award is based on the number of sales it makes sense.
