It's hard to imagine, but then again, people thought it would be hard to top Frank, and look what she did.

My first concern, from a musical point of view, is just being assured that her musical gift is still intact after the terrible ordeal she went through. If it is, and she continues to want to make music, then I know she'll be knocking our socks off sooner or later, hopefully sooner.

Actually, to be honest, I think she has so much material within her right now. What Amy has been through since the last album is just.... well... a LOT, to say the very least.

The only thing we can hope for is that she finds the drive and discipline to be able to put that into words.

If she can do that - then her next album could be truly mind-blowing.

Gotta keep the focus, though.

i would be up for something totally different, she's an artist after all. i just look forward to experiencing where she's at with her art in the next installment. i hope she has the freedom to create without too many limitations put on her by the record co.

Noone can say for sure.
What i know is that Amy has a thing for surprises so really...you never know with her. I just hope the 3rd album is gonna be a more than "pleasant" surprise to all of us and it will deffo worth the wait!

I think il be satisfied purely just hearing her singing again with new songs. She must be under so much pressure right now tho after the hit back to black was to top it, i agree with you lainey all the shit shes been through must of given her bags of material and like she said herself she still had loads left over from back to black.
I dont know about anyone else but i'd LOVE abit of a ska feeling to the new album.

Even though it'll be her 3rd, I still think it will be the 'difficult second album', purely because of how successful Back To Black was. She's got plenty to write about but however long it takes to turn them into an album is a different matter.
But I've got faith in her. and I'll be patient, cos it will be worth the wait.

If it's half as good as BTB, I'm happy.
And I go back to... I go back to us.

Bruised, battered and desparate for a fag she may be, but Amy is our 21st Century Piaf: flawed yet fabulous, tormented yet towering. Think of her this way and hope that the still remarkably young woman under the eyeliner thinks that way too. - Jude Rogers, The Word

Even if she can't fully hit some of the high, strong, loud notes..all singers adjust for age, night on the town, etc.

I agree with y'all that if the time is right, Amy is capable of anything musically. Dylan has a select number of true genius albums but he's never really took a wrong turn. That's true genius.

Though it is merely a short thread when I post this, it sufficiently covers the subject, so I just say: agreed.;-)
Amy Winehouse died, and she's taken a part of my soul with her. May that part be the love that I felt for her, and may the love that I still feel for her be the undying part of us both.

I'm sure she is able to top it if she feels right. I kinda have hope that Amy won't put out anything that she thinks is bad. I have the feeling that even when she was at her worst she knew when stuff sucked. When she had a shitty performance she knew that it wasn't good and she felt bad about it. She's a perfectionist when it comes to music and she is really talented!
I just hope her album will be different than B2B. I hope she re-invents herself and surprises us with something completely new! She definitly has enough stories to tell since B2B.
