Just wondering what ideas do people have about the -allededly- upcoming album? Like when do people think it will appear, middle of the year, end of the year, next year? Anyone have any actual facts besdies what the papers are always saying, which is obviously just crap as they can never make up their mind about anything Amy related!
Also what kind of sound do we reckon it'll have? I'd quite like for the ska talk to be true, I like her covers of The Specials etc...but of course would love her to continue the BTB style as well. I'm sure whatever it is and whenever it actually shows up, it will have been worth the ridiculously long wait

My predictions:
Amy's third album, consisting of 18 tracks, of which three are covers, will be released in the late summer or autumn of 2010, and it'll be sold out within three hours.
Style: a fusion of rythm and blues, jazz, soul, ska and hiphop. General idea: funky, Amy-style.

Amy Winehouse died, and she's taken a part of my soul with her. May that part be the love that I felt for her, and may the love that I still feel for her be the undying part of us both.

cat, love the pic on your sig
i think (wish) it will be ready late 2010 -at least-, will have a vibe similar to btb but probably 'new' styles, like the ones you've mentioned, involved too. and we'll have a tour in america for spring/summer 2011! so i can go see her.
i'm just dreaming. really, you cant predict what this girl will or wont do

The record will drop in June, 2060. Amy will be very old. The album will suck horribly. She'll still be wearing pink ballet slippers.
Like Vero says, who's to know with Amy...still I can't help but love her. Just want to SEE her and HEAR her.
Later this year release. It will be genius!

wish i could afford a psychic on this one....
hope it has nothing to do with Blake, and is more in the confessional songwriting genre she has a tremendous talent for. i'll follow her art as long as she's connected with it...

It appeared that Salaam Remi was in London for a couple weeks, just having left a few days ago. I would hazard a guess that he was there to work with Amy on the album. Since he is most known for hip-hop, ska and reggae sounds, I can imagine the album will sound like more of the same.

this new article from the sun says:
Wino's much-delayed third album looks set to be a heavily hip hop-inspired collection.
She's reached out to rappers NAS and MOS DEF and is finishing tracks with SNOOP DOGG.
there is no source for that info though so it sounds like bs.

Hopefully it will come out before we all stop giving a toss. Not getting my hopes up for anything. I don't expect this album to be on the level of BTB.
What is your greatest fear?
Amy: "Dying old or never meeting Tony Bennett; if I never get to meet him, I might as well be dead."
