I had the idea, but I think I heard some vague talk about a statue for Amy Winehouse, but the idea has kept going through my head that there should be a statue for her across from where she lived in the small park in Camden Square! Does anyone else think there should be? Or will she be forgotten in a few years time? :-S

I mentioned a statue a day or two after she died. don't know london so i have no idea of a place in camden. there's no doubt that it's 'deserved' but i guess that's ultimitely up to city leaders or rabid fans.

we have a statue of stevie ray vaughn in austin and it's awesome. there's a statue of freddie mercury in switzerland that's breathtaking just from the pictures. that's just a few.

amy won't be forgotten.

I think there should definitely be a permanent memorial to Amy in Camden, whether it be a statue or a mural or something. Maybe we could petition the local council to do something?

Something that will be fitting in her honour, she is a legend and very special and deserves it, wish when the press and stuff show her, they would show her as a healthy girl and clips of her stunning performances and interviews

of course she deserves a statue around Camden, where her lived.. so we can visit her statue every now and then especially for fans outside london. we can visit the foundation, but it would be lovely if there's a statue. and yes, she'll never be forgotten. her music lives forever x

In my opinion, Stevie was THE best guitar player hands down. would have loved to have been at his last gig w/Clapton et al. Does his brother still perform, do you know?

i think stevie considered jimmie a better guitarist and in some technical aspects, may have been. but i'm sure jimmie knew better, it was just brotherly love.

a lot of visitor's first stop in austin is stevie ray's statue. it's near downtown, just off a hike and bike trail right by town lake. nobody has ever desecrated it but just leave flowers etc.
