Heres a link to the song - i think she sounds phenomenal, even if she just sings the hook (and the beautiful backing vocals with the ooh ohh's and such)

It's more a Nas song with Amy on the hook, but I love Nas so that's okay.
No surprises with the production, it's very Amy. Understated, as all Salaam's productions on B2B were.
I've already listened to it about 8 times, and although there's not much to hang on to in terms of lyrics or even vocals from Amy, I still love it.

I like this song a lot actually. The hook on this song is so catchy, I bet it'll be a hit. I think they released it first because it's only got a bit of her. Her voice sounds so beautiful. Some parts remind me of frank so much, the style of her singing. It's literally giving me chills hearing something new from her, it's what we've been waiting years for. To imagine where she would have gone if she'd finished the third album is overwhelming.
*and if what calls itself a world should
have the luck to hear such singing*

I think these are (Amy's) lyrics. I may have gotten some of them wrong, but this is what I hear:
I never wanted you
To be my man
I just needed your company
Don't wanna get dependent on
Your time or who you spend it on
But you lose it when you love the man
Like smoke I hang around
In the unbalance
Woah-oh
I never wanted you
To be my man
I just needed your company
Don't wanna get dependent on
Your time or who you spend it on
But you lose it when you love the man
Like smoke I hang around
In the unbalance
Woah-oh
