The BRIT Awards are on Much Music at 8:00PM -10PM on Tues, Feb. 21 EST in the Toronto/GTA area and environs...

Whitney Houston and Amy Winehouse to be honoured at the Brits

Organisers managed over the weekend to mastermind tributes to both into the tight schedule.
‘Whitney and Amy are two of the biggest female stars in the history of music. Both have made their mark onstage at the Brits in the past,’ explained my backstage source.‘Something would feel missing if both their legacies weren’t remembered at the show.’
The move comes after Amy’s father, Mitch, complained his girl wasn’t honoured properly at this month’s Grammys.
Whitney’s last showing at the Brits came when she sang It’s Not Right But It’s Okay back in 1999, and Wino won best female artist in 2007, performing Rehab.
Bosses had already squeezed nine performances in this year, compared with the usual eight.

Good news that they are doing a tribute but don't understand why they have 'managed over the weekend' to organise tributes. Whitney, yes as she only passed last weekend but surely they thought of Amy ages ago! Don't like the sound of them 'squeezing' it in either... sorry to be so negative just think she deserves more! You never know!

Thank goodness there's going to be a tribute. I was getting worried, though it would've been a slap in the face if they didn't have a tribute. But I share the same sentiments with Tiny Penny. I'm wondering that too...

I'm still happy that there's atleast going to be one . Here's hoping it'll do her justice.

You can only watch ITV in the UK though. I agree with Tiny Penny, I don't like the sound of that, but let's hope it'll be a decent tribute.

There is a free program called Expat Shield (expatshield.com) that will let you view the shows on both BBC and ITV if you're not in the UK. The program assigns you a UK IP address. I have used it on both of the websites and it has worked great for the shows that they have had uploaded to their sites. I haven't tried using it for a live stream yet, but it should work OK if you have a fast enough internet connection.

I don't think that they will air the BRITS live in Turkey. But I want to watch so badly!! Will be there any live streaming? I hope that it will be. 'Cause you know, its name can be BRIT Awards but it is not only important for British people.
