She's very nervous, and that can explain to some extent her not sounding like she would want to, but I have to agree with you that her voice was damaged (or untrained or whatever), but she sounds like she's been smoking loads and drinking way too much.
Not to be a party pooper, but she said she hadn't been in a recording studio for a VERY long time (her words, not mine)...does that mean there can't possibly be a 3rd album? Maybe she wrote all the songs just never got round to putting the voice tracks down. Is that normally something done towards the end of an album production?

Wow, she's very fragile in that video, isn't she? Tony can see it, he's concerned for her.

Yeah when I heard her say that, that was the first thought that came to my mind.......I highly doubt there is going to be a third album.

(you are all right, btw, I'm having a moment)
Why wasn't Mitch with her? I mean, of all times, I would expect him to be there!

Yes, but what about home demos? Demos that she recorded at home like "A Song For You"?
And why did her label make this big announcement 2 weeks before her European Tour started (that there are 2 possible singles for release in 2011) ?

That's what Salaam said, wasn't it? That Amy had the 3rd album planned but just hadn't gotten round to laying down the vocals yet.

You know what, fuck it. Amy was more to me than a voice and it doesn't make a difference that she lost it in the end.... I feel so much worse for her than us, to know your faults/bad decisions have prevented you from shining like you could have is devastating (to a smaller extent, I deal with that every day)...... RIP baby, love you so much.

I agree that Amy was more than just a voice. I miss her songwriting so much. If it came down to it that her voice was broken, i would still buy her records. Her gift for songwriting would never have left her.

'I need more time" a song Mitch mentioned in AMD that she had played to him and had had for a few months but never recorded it. Seemed like she kept her songs in her head. I still think there is material we haven't heard, though. Maybe from St Lucia sessions, who knows? Look at Nirvana, the last track they did wasn't released til when..7 years after kurt cobain's death!

Im not really concerned, I think it's more of how she worded it perhaps "long time" could mean anything.. we know she definitely recorded in late 2010 (it's my party) so who knows
at his side and drunk on pride
we wait for the blow
