I fell in love with her again! She looks soooo sexy and sounds excellent.
First time I saw this video a year ago I was both shocked at how gorgeous she looked, and by the realization at how far she fell from this moment. Still one of my all time favorites, though.
I wish she had never lost weight, she’s perfect here!
I think the media are to blame for some of the pressure she felt to lose weight, because in the early days she’s often desribed as a ‘buxom singer’ …are you fucking kidding me?
Agreed, wholeheartedly.
I’ve even seen her being described as ‘fat’ in some instances. Seriously…who the fuck sees this and thinks she’s _ fat _?!!
The “Hollywood” mindset is truly mind-boggling at times.
FAT? Silly people.
I thought she referred to herself as “always having chicken legs”… I think it’s true because her thighs were never that big. Personally it’s hard for me to tell without seeing someone in person… when she lost all the weight it seemed like she became so petite but she wasn’t that petite here? It’s weird. But seriously, her face, so gorgeous.
@tselekoglu post the other one too
Edit: It’s also weird how her personality changed… but maybe that’s just me. She was always a sweetheart though.
She looks like a Lioness with all that hair…
Yeah seriously, the media are to blame for many anorexic celebrities! I know Amy always said she didn’t give a fuck, but I think she was actually hurt by being referred to as boxom, curvy or even fat, and I think she thought to herself “right, that’s it, I’ll show them”. She started going to the gym 2 hours every day, religiously. And early on in her B2B promotional interviews, she’s asked about losing weight, and being a role model, and she is quoted as saying that she doesn’t want to be a model for anyone. I think she didn’t want to be seen as representing “realy curvy women”, and thus started her anorexic spiral (coupled with emotional turmoil, break-up, low self-esteem, etc…of course).
You’re right, she did say she always had chicken legs. Pictures from Amy from the Frank period show that she was always a little ‘bigger’ (I use that in the relative sense, not in the fat sense) on top, mostly in her bust area and arms. that’s the first thing I noticed when she lost all the weight was how defined her arms now were…
you know, I was just watching an earlier interview of her (2003) and thought to myself that she certainly seemed a little different. And in a previous thread we were talking about her ‘speach impedement’ or stuttering, and she really didn’t seem to have that in the early interviews. Could it be the drugs or something?
I think there are probably many factors… she was really young, vibrant when she came out and maybe she just matured a lot, drugs change your brain so it probably permanently changed her personality. It blows my mind to watch her early interviews… I just don’t get how she got on the path she did. My guess is she always had a speech impediment/stutter and learned to cover it well. Her diction/pronunciation were never great, even on Frank, and I don’t think it was me just hearing a british accent from an outsider’s perspective. In love is a losing game, when she says “wish”, it’s more like “wis”… it doesn’t matter to me, but it makes me sad she might have struggled with this… I’m sure drinking made it worse.

What would you call that shape? An apple? Lol… Perhaps losing weight wasn’t the worst thing for her, obviously not as much as she did, but it probably balanced her out.
So I’m not the only one to think it’s one of the most beautiful and energetic Amy’s videos
How great. She’s like a vitamine here.

I think in 2004 Amy had ideal shapes - one may think she’s curvy cause pics usually add like 10% of weight visually and videos - even more. As she looked “perfect” on pics in 2007, she must have been very, very thin (too thin) in reality.
Here’s the other one…
