I started this thread because I’m big on lyrics & I think Amy was a great lyricist! There’s a line in probably every song of hers that really stands out for me. One of my favourites – “It’s not hard to understand why we just speak at night, the only time I hold your hand is to get the angle right”

I'm with you on that! Lyrics are a big thing for me too and that's one of the reasons I love Amy. She could say so much in so few words, she was an amazing songwriter. I had to do a top 5!

The line in my sig too, I think that song is my favourite one lyrically. It's so raw and beautiful. I mean they all are but that one especially imo.

And I was thinking of you when I came - one of the reasons I feel in love with her music is that being a Prince fab for 30 some odd years now, many of her lyrics reminded me of how how he writes. I have no problem saying this as a guy, his lyrics were hot. Hers are just as hot to me.
