i disagree with you. i don't think we're delusional because we question the validity of what the "rags" are telling us. As Tam says, bullshit sells and these publications are gonna make sure there's plenty of it. Clearly our girl has issues, but I'm not taking anything the tabs print about her at face value.

... to be fair though i dont think that the tabloids are always right and it had me in tears once when i watched a load of videos with the paps following her around like you wouldn't belive, she just had to act like they weren't there, it was horrible and I bet she gets that all the time :(

Same here. And when I hear she's out at 4am in the morning ALONE, it's like anything could happen to her. There are crazy people all around this world. That chick is only 5'1 and probably weighs no more than 90lbs. She simply doesnt need to be out ALONE. She could get robbed or anything. That's why Im asking where are all these people who care about her so much. If I was a friend, I'd be sleeping at her house and trying to help her keep her mind off of things. It just seems like everybody does their normal daily routine check up with her and then she's off by herself. That's not cool at all. Even if that's not the case, you'd think people would be that much more PROTECTIVE over Amy. It's like theyre waiting to see what happens next just to say they spoke to her moments before it all went down. It seems like the issue with Blake was that HE WAS ALWAYS THERE FOR HER, literally. Rather for the right or wrong reasons, she had that security in him. It just seems like she doesnt have that in anybody else.

That's my (main) point... so...what are you talking about?

And I laugh at threats over the internet, so save that shit. I said what I said to kylakoolie because my purpose of this thread was to point out that people need to realize the facts of the situation and not pick and choose what they want to take from articles being posted about her. It's like if it's POSITIVE crap from a non-credible source, then it's ok, but if it's bad press, it's almost if not all true. I understand people have the right to believe whatever they want but I just think it's a bit ridiculous. I think it's crazy that every TABLOID story that's pressed about Amy is posted here for discussion only for majority of the post to be about not believing the article. When pictures are included, people are still downplay it as BS. Maybe "delusional" wasnt the word I was looking for but it's obvious there's a bias Amy against the media, hint, the petition to get journalist to behave themselves.

"Know your battles before you fight them." You can laugh all you want, you're the one that made the comment so I guess you're laughing at yourself because you don't know all the facts.

And IT IS UP TO PEOPLE TO PICK AND CHOOSE WHAT THEY WANT! IT IS NOT UP TO YOU TO PICK IT FOR THEM.

Everyone has their own mind, just like you do and what you write after you tell THE MAJORITY that they are delusional is sound and refutes what you say in your first paragraph because you have your own 'delusional ' conclusions. Because you do not know all the facts. Are you somewhere in the photographs (don't see you)? Have you been hanging out with Amy? If you're not there, you are like the rest of; sifting through what is presented to us.

If loving Amy is wrong then I don't want to be right. Just stubborn that way. There's enough nasty, despicable things written about her. I have the right to believe or not believe, that is life, just like you would rather believe all the photos you see. They can be a lie too. They catch her with her eyes half-closed and print that she is high and apparently you run with it. That is your choice.

And I appreciate the fact that you have different point of view but you ask for trouble telling us that the majority is delusional and not respond to that.

YiGO, you did make some good points in your thread, and yes, I do understand what it's about. My point was not to be picky about the (grammatical) use of the word delusional. It's just that with your opening statement you came off as a bit presumptuous/ judgemental to assume that the majority of us don't realize what's going on - that's all.

It's clear to most of us, I think, that Amy has some serious problems to deal with. We're really not as 'delusional' as you assume - credit us with some sense.

I do apologize about the misuse of "delusional." We're all here for Amy one way or another.

You are totally on point, you too Lainey. Point is: it is inflammatory to say what you did, I almost didn't read further because I felt insulted.

we can't really know the circumstances, but from what i've read Amy is very strong willed and stubborn so maybe the situation is as she prefers it. Plus, isolating is part of the disease of addiction so that could be part of it as well.

We can't know all the situation, we are not there, so we have to take it witha grain of salt because today's bag of powder, is tomorrow's bag with a flannel cloth in it, you know what I'm saying.

i want someone in the papers to just realize amy is just like all of us and has problems just like we do, they dont have any feeling do they if they can write all this stuff about her, how do they sleep at night knowing that amy does sometimes read this stuff and you kno its going to upset her, i just wouldnt be able to live with myself if i worte something like they do.

That's just it - this forum is for people who genuinely care about Amy and want to understand why she is hurting. We would all love to help her in some way, but we can't physically do that. We can only read about her. The gutter press who wait outside her house 24/7 are only there for their jobs; their job is to obtain photo's that will sell their papers, to do that they have to add a "story" to match the picture, otherwise it is not worth printing. It is not news they are after, but tabloid 'stories' a mixture of shock, fantasy, and a bit of truth. Naturally, whether we believe it or not, we will not be able to resist reading and discussing articles printed (be they true or false) about her life, because we are interested and care about her. It is the sensationalisation (try saying that when you've had a few ) that bothers us.

Amy's fans are not delusional. The only person who is delusional at this time is poor Amy! The more I hear about her stating she is fine, and getting on with her life, the more concerned I am about her! How can somebody taking drugs, overdosing, breaking down on stage, wandering around the streets half naked in the early hours of the morning be fine? That is not sane behaviour; if the press were not there outside then she could have wandered further, been attacked, collapsed all alone outside.

The longer Amy refuses to believe she has serious issues and problems that need desperately addressing, the longer the press will stick around. She is big news for them while she is troubled, and they will continue to hang around until when/if she gets back on track. Her extraordinary talent has made her famous, but drugs have turned her into a sad freak show, and we are all desperately waiting for the news that she has realised it for herself.

What brings me back to this forum nearly everyday is the caring nature of all the members. And if someone joins and is not a caring person, they don't last long here anyway!

Amy is a 24 year old woman who by her own fathers account cannot be told what to do. You cannot watch someone llike that 24/7, she has to make her own mistakes, granted she's making more than her fair share but her problems are down to HER and it is up to her when she finds the strength to seek help.

I don't consider myself disillusional but I will question reports in the paper, I will also question statements made by Blake and Amy and her record company/agents when it is quite obvious there is drug abuse taking place. I also think as fans who pay out money for records and tickets we have a right to question information that we hear/read. We are not stupid enough not to know there are serious issues to be addressed here but Amy has to address them herself and I hope that next year the press will be reporting about her career and not her private life.
