He was still her true love, though. She just sparkled around him, even though their relationship was doomed to work cause of the drugs. She lost the spark when they went their separate ways. I still think she harbored her feelings for him, like, she never really got over him. She just sort of dealt with it and tried to move on. She was very sad, you could just tell. Not to mention going on stage singing songs about her life with him, must have gutted her. Even though she was with her new man, you could tell it wasn't the same. Its just such a shame, really. That's when the drinking got out of control. "Love can damage your health."

These words were said when he filed for divorce and a bit after putting another woman pregnant. Amy was angry and I think that's why she said that. If she actually said because the media have always invented little more than the truth.

Anyway, even if the marriage was based on the drug, which is not hard to believe, I believe that love was also in their relationship. In 2008 Amy totally lost control. The days when her husband was in prison.

That said, their relationship wasn't perfect, it's clear. Two addicts together, often yields catastrophic results but that dosn't stop love.

Of course, a woman in anger says anything. I am sure that it did have a big role in their relationship too. But I do think they were madly in love with each other.
