Ah ok..but I think like I did too..on my work that I DID it's normal to put watermarks I think.

Yes but sometimes it's very annoying....I only put watermarks with the photographers name.....That's the right....And I think that photo editing (pizap, picnik, photoshop) is only for personal use only and not for public....

There's a huge difference between reproducing an image that has the originator's mark on it and marking someone else's intellectual property with your own logo or name.

I hate them too... but sadly they're a necessary evil.

Wow. While I was thinking about it, I just visited their FB page and saw a ton of pictures taken from my Tumblr with their watermark plastered across them. SO ANNOYING.

Actually I just went on Tumblr, and I saw your Tumblr page (I believe). I really enjoyed it and I am now following you. (You'll recognize me, I am 'ohyeahkreayshawn') Also, I have to say that I also hate watermarks, and I have NO idea what FB page is theirs. Not that I'm even interested. I think it's unfair that they're just putting their logo on every photo. I just hate the fact that I can't find the photo's that I love SO much without the watermark. It gets on my nerves. I do always try to find them though.

By the way, I absolutely ADORE these photos. :heart:

Technically yes, but I don't see anything wrong with it if you aren't claiming something as your property when it's not, or removing any photographer or agency watermarks since they are there for a reason. If it's for personal use only, then none of us should be allowed to have avatars on here.

You can do what you want with your own artwork, that's not the kind of thing we're talking about.

Maybe....Even the Amy Winehouse Foundation requires permission for using pictures in any events in the name of the foundation...I know it's difficult but that's the legislation.....

But they use pictures for commercial purposes. People posting pictures for fun on their tumblrs or here isn't really the same thing.
