I don't get this girl, she's going from one extreme to another. I guess that's why she's so fascinating.

But that's exactly what Amy is: extreme, so why wouldn't she go from one extreme to another? In her world, this is normal, not extreme. To most of us, it is extreme. Just a different way of looking at things.
