You're welcome kev :) So excited for it! And actually very surprised, I was doubtful MTV could pull off something like this.

me either!! i think it's going to be tough to watch, plenty of kleenex to the side and a hand to hold. and there is always this wonderful place for support

Is the tribute to Amy going to be at the end of the night?
I don't know if I can sit thru 2 hrs of nonsense music awards.
I gave up on MTV years ago since they stopped showing music videos and just had stupid shows about pregnant 16 yr olds. Ugh.

^^lol I'll have to look and see what channel it is on here. I never watch MTV. I remember when it first came out i was in college. thought it was so cool to see these things called, 'music videos'. LOL

about 2 or 3 yrs ago,(I actually think it was when MJ died) i was flipping through and thought there might be something on that channel. I thought I had the wrong channel because it was some kind of reality looking show; not my cup of tea. wow how things change.
:'-(She was the DiVinci of my music world!

They are a real guilty pleasure now, 2 hour cringefest. I think the last exciting VMAs were in 2003. All the rivalries, pop stars going mad or bisexual, Eminem being the most shocking person on Earth, J. Lo and Justin being all hood, Xtina's arseless pants widely discussed, Brit handling the snake, Jackass, ahhh all the crazy drama! Maybe it's nostalgia talking but I enjoyed the VMAs back then. Nowadays habit's the only reason I tune in, I guess. But atleast this year there's something to look forward to.

Apparently, Amy's parents may potentially attend the VMAs - http://www.eonline.c...mtv_vmas/260238

I really hope that Dionne will get to perform something good from her new album. Maybe something like Time Will Tell, Ouch That Hurt or If That's The Way You Wanna Play. They've an Amy touch to it and Amy would want her to perform too, I think!

I will probably have it on in the background on mute, and tune in for Amy. And that will be my VMA experience.

I think it's confirmed now:

Tony Benett, Adele and Gaga. Oh God, I'm scared... (at least all of them can sing).

Where'd you get that? Gaga would be more appropriate for the Britney tribute. So tired of her trying to be a serious artist when all she does are nursery rhymes and Madonna ripoffs. I hate that cheesy tribute already. They should've just had Tony, end of.
