I don't know what it is but I always get an angry feeling when I hear people cover songs from Amy now she is gone. I mean: love is a losing game and all other Amy songs... these songs are so personal. It should stay like that. No other singer can feel what Amy felt. Her songs are pure and I hate it when other singers are singing it without having the feeling that she had for the songs. (i try to explain what i mean but my english is not so good so i hope i explained myself clear)

I can't abide listenin to ppl tryna cover an Amy track, coz no one can do it tha justice she does n coz they are not jus songs, they are personal to her, so, its weird for me too. x

Well i don't blame other artists for wanting to cover Amy songs, after all they are bloody good songs! Miss Emerald isn't the first and won't be the last to come off 2nd best when covering an Amy song. LIALG is a song you have to connect with in every way to do it some sort of justice, its a beautiful song in every way, the kind of song i wish i had played a part in creating because IMO it is her greatest song.

The lesson these artists must learn? No one can sing an Amy song as good as Amy.

amy loved what she did because she believed that her lyrics were powerful enough to make people emotionally connected to them. nothing wrong with people who happen to be artists feeling the connection and making tributes. it's actually very similar to what we do here, except that this lady's has been broadcasted. her admiration and respect for amy sounded very legitimate to me.
