Also thought there could be a page with "fan stories" if we could gather enough, about fans who ever met her or saw her live when she was alive.

Maybe not just fans but also all the musicians and other artist she has inspired and who have talked about her?

Seems like the Alex Lake (2007) and Alexis Maryon (2003) photoshoots are the most liked by you guys so these 2 will probably be used in the fansite design! They are up in quite good quality so hopefully will look nice

I was thinking about using paparazzi pics as well, the ones where she seems to be happy to photographed, like this one, what do you think?

 

 

I think if any pictures of Amy are to be used for a fan-site, it ought to be from the B2B era, because that's what she was most know for (even if Frank era photos are lovely), and from 2006 or 2007 only, before she starts to look like a caricature of herself. For example, I am against a picture like the one above being used, because I find her unhealthy in those kinds of pics. It makes me uneasy...

thats a good start! seems like u know a thing or 2 about this website building stuff.. so getting this mudcrab.org domain was easier than getting an Amy one I guess? I checked on this site and it says amyjadewinehouse.com is available, shall I register and see how can we get that then? https://www.europere...ain/frontSearch

 Wish I could say yes LOL, but no, just loading things up pressing the buttons and seeing what things do really.

 

OK have done a bit of research, Amy's name does not appear to have any ownership, but it might be an idea to e-mail the record company, and the family to ask/tell them what we are doing...........one it makes sure no one 'official' has any objections, and two gives them a point of contact if say they want something removed, and rather than going straight to the lawyers, they can contact us directly.  

 

Domain registration, just a couple of things, you need to make sure that the registrar you use allows to point the Domain to where you hosting your site, most do btw, then we might run into the site host may not allow you to point an external domain to them, they may wish you to buy a domain and hosting form them as a package.

 

Sorry to be a pain with this stuff, but it is important to make sure before we do things.

 

The free host web builder things appear to be pretty good and have good tools, but you might find they have limits with freedom, such as if you ever wanted to move the site somewhere else, or even they may want to put advertising on the site.

 

I've had mudcrab.org, mudcrab.net ummm and a few others for a while, mainly for forums, all dead now LOL.

 

The software I have been looking at, and I can install this on my web server, and point domains to it etc.

So since the fansite is coming together a bit slowly, in the meantime I made an email address (with google drive for storage and google+) and a youtube account called Amy Winehouse Archive where I started to do an "Amy's Jukebox" playlist https://www.youtube....WsRQDaPn-FI0Lp- I'm gonna update it with everything we knew she listened to as I have time also I would like to make a couple of other playlists with all her interviews and performances etc. in order by date if possible.

Ok guys so this is official! The fansite will be at http://theamyarchive.com/ it is still very much a work in progress but I will post on the forum if there are any reasonable news about it! Thanks so much for @v_melnik and @dykehaze for making this happen!

Still looking for people who have done proper designs for fansites before, as everybody is very busy.

Good idea! We are looking for professional designers to make us a unique theme. but even till then (especially if you have posted on Wordpress before-but it's easy to learn too) I am looking for people who got a little free time to help me post the written content on the site with all Infos about Amy!!
