I read some where that Amy wanted to do a cover album before she drop her third album.

I read that also somewhere and i read that she recorded some of the demos for the 3nd album, and tracks, but they were back in the studio, because the label didn like them.. something like that...
So i KNOW there is A LOT of material.

There is a song called "You always hurt the ones you love" on her notepad, which you can see in the Lioness CD.
I just discovered a tweet from 2009:

I thought you always hurt the one you love was the duet she wrote with Pete? I also remember Pete saying in 2008 that he had a lot of recordings of Amy on his laptop. He's not the most reliable person though, and her voice wasn't at its best at this time (for those who remember Lisbon)

Lioness: Hidden Treasures is something like tribute. They HAD to release something! Not an Actual album:)

Guys there IS 3nd album...
I think they just try to finish it, at least the way Amy wanted... I have the feeling they will drop it out on her death anniversary...
In The articles they say all what she had to do is finish it... obviously it wasnt finished... so this means that we have at least 80-90% finished material for 3nd album... Im sure they are working on finishing it...
Lioness was an "tribute" album, they HAD to throw to the fans something...
lets wait her 1st anniversary of her death, and see...

None of the reports claiming that her third album had been recorded and the record company were just waiting to release it were from reliable sources. Tabloid rumours got picked up by other papers/sites, you know how that goes and how much misinformation gets spread that way. The record company may have spread the rumours themselves because people were getting impatient, who knows. There is just no absolute proof. Salaam Remi himself said that she had finished writing the album but just hadn't gotten round to recording it. Until there is stronger evidence to the contrary, I'll believe him. I'm sure she recorded some demos for the record company, maybe even a couple of finished songs, but a whole new album? I doubt it. And if that material were made into an album now, it still wouldn't be "the true third album" as Amy wouldn't be able to look over the production. Of course I would love to hear new songs, but I'm not getting my hopes up for a finished brand spanking new album full of recent material.
