I can certainly see what attracted Amy to Blake in the first place: he's very masculine
( tall and well built) and I got the impression that he's no dork (he went to grammar school and his dad was a teacher). Also, with his tats, he probably had a look of the rebel/ bad-boy about him. Furthermore, I can imagine him being able to sweet-talk the girlies. (damn, why couldn't i be more like him!!).
So it's hardly original, is it ? Younger girl falls for sweet-talking, masculine bad-boy. Isn't that what "Grease" was about ?
And I hate to say it, but as Blake said, I can imagine Amy taking the cocaine without too much persuasion. She was headstrong and a bit of a rebel herself and she might've wanted to appear all grown-up for these men. "Too cool for school", as Blake said.
When it came to the heroin, though, wouldn't they've been married by then ? And no matter whose idea it was in the first place to take the brown , and why, Blake was her husband, and so it his responsibilty to ensure that she was kept free from harm or danger. He didn't do this. In fact he did the complete opposite and he ended up leading her down a path that ultimately led to her death.
As Amy herself sang about an earlier man in her life, "You should be stronger than me"
